What’s Inside
Ever wish your dog’s water bowl filled itself, or your cat’s dinner stayed fresh past 6pm? This week I’ve got a pet-tech brand making daily care practically effortless, plus a shoe trend that’s saving toes (and sanity) for runners, nurses, and brunch-goers alike. Which one will earn a spot in your routine?
🔥 Trend #1: PetLibro — ↑ 1,600% Growth
Since 2021

This is my first pet trend! If I have lots of pet lovers reading this let me know and I can find more! They deserve to glow up their life just like you do yours! At the end of this section I’ll introduce you to my own four pawed family member.
🤔 What’s this?
Ever forget to fill up your pet’s water? Or have a furry friend giving you side-eye because dinner isn’t served on time? Welcome to the Glow Up Party, PetLibro! 🐶
PetLibro is a pet-tech brand creating automatic feeders and constant-flow water fountains that put daily care on autopilot. With features like app scheduling, sealed food storage, and even refrigeration, their products keep pets on routine, even when their humans aren’t.
🔍 Deeper Dive
As more households balance remote work, travel, and packed schedules, the demand for smarter pet-care tools is growing. PetLibro has carved out a strong foothold with a product line built for convenience and reliability. What I’ve found is that there are a lot of automated food/water pet feeders/fountains, but quality and durability can make a difference here, so the name brand may be the way to go.
Their newest release, a refrigerated feeder for wet food, solves a long-standing problem for cat owners: how to keep wet meals fresh without constant cleanup. It stores up to three servings and uses semiconductor cooling to keep food cold for up to 72 hours. It’s also app-controlled, like most of PetLibro’s line. Looking ahead, the company has announced plans to integrate AI to support portion control and hydration tracking.
One of my 4 year olds chores is to fill up the dog food bowl, so I’m holding off on the feeder for now but we bought the PetLibro water fountain because I was sick of filling up the small water bowl multiple times a day, especially in the summer when it’s needed most if I too long to notice it was empty.
🛒 Where to find
PETLIBRO Dog Water Fountain – Anti splash, for medium to large dogs, can handle multiple pets, dogs or cats
PETLIBRO Automatic Dog/Cat Feeder – 5L capacity, freshness seal, low-food alerts
Refrigerated Wet Food Feeder – App-controlled, keeps 3 meals cool for up to 3 days
Ok, now my favorite part of this week’s edition: I want you to meet my pup, Milo! He’s a Goldendoodle with a golden heart. He’s been the best family dog for the kids that I could ever hope for. Despite how often he steals our socks.

Forgive the mess in the background.
🔥 Trend #2: Women Wide Toe Shoes — ↑ 615% Growth
Since 2020

🤔 What’s this?
Wide-toe shoes are exactly what they sound like: sneakers, clogs, and casual kicks with more room up front so your toes can spread naturally. That means less pressure, better comfort, and no cramped, pinchy feeling, without looking like you borrowed orthopedic shoes from your grandma (grandma…if you read this……………. I love you).
🔍 Deeper Dive
Over the past few years (look at that graph growth curve!), wide-toe shoes have picked up major traction, not just with runners, but with nurses, walkers, teachers, travelers, and anyone tired of ending the day with aching feet. While these shoes have long been recommended for people with bunions or toe issues, here’s the thing: you don’t have to be a runner or have a foot problem to benefit.
If you are an avid runner though, check out this Doctors of Running blog post for a breakdown of wide toe boxes.
A wider toe box lets your foot move more naturally, which can reduce blisters, rubbing, and that sore, swollen feeling after a long day. Whether you’re doing laps around a hospital or just heading to brunch, the right pair can make a big difference in how your feet feel by dinnertime.
And this isn’t a niche category anymore. Brands like Topo Athletic and Hoka now offer wide-toe shoes with clean designs and modern color options. The Topo Atmos and Hoka Gaviota 5 are popular among runners, while the Bondi SR and Clove Classics are go-tos for long shifts on your feet. For everyday wear, options like Dr. Scholl’s slip-ons and Birkenstock clogs offer the same roomy comfort in a more casual style.
🛒 Where to find
For running or workouts:
Topo Athletic Atmos – Lightweight, super roomy, and surprisingly sleek
Hoka Gaviota 5 – Stable, cushioned, and wide in all the right places (I am always partial to the white)
Brooks Ghost 17 – A classic daily trainer now available in wider fits, see if they are in your size (again, white shoes look the best)
For long shifts and standing all day:
Jackshibo Wide Toe Box Running Shoe – Around $40 on Amazon, nurses and runners rave about the comfort
Clove Classic Sneakers – Designed with nurses in mind, easy to clean and easy on the feet (white shoes white shoes white shoes)
For everyday and lounging:
Dr. Scholl’s Madison Slip-On – Surprisingly stylish and comfortable
Birkenstock Boston Clogs – That iconic cork support with plenty of wiggle room. Don’t get the narrow size (pretty sure I wear mine 360 days of the year)
Until next week,
